Song Lyric Inspired Tattoo Art

If you’ve known me for more than, oh, a day or two, you probably are aware of my love for Killswitch Engage. I saw them live 3 times this year and the last two were among the most incredible concert experiences of my life. Their catalog was the soundtrack to my Alaska experience, and a few have deeply personal meanings. So, even though I still need to do a full cover up (don’t drink and ink, kiddos) and a slight touch up, I’ll be getting yet another tattoo inspired by the lyrics to “This Fire.” I’m not actually getting the lyrics themselves inked, but the art will be inspired by the chorus, “even through the darkest days / this fire burns, always.”

Even though I have the concept for myself pretty much worked out, I still thought it’d be fun to do an idea board of song lyric inspired tattoos. All of these tattoos contain an artistic component, rather than just the lyrics themselves. Seeing as how I want to do a Pantera tattoo as well (it’ll be part of my coverup tat), I’m sure I’ll be coming back to this board for future tattoo inspiration.
